Policies for an inclusive ethos

Policies are very important for all schools because they help a school establish procedures, quality for learning and safety as well as expectations. One school I worked in previously there policy was strong on working with parents/guardians/caregivers, there was a hired support staff who worked together with the teachers to assist the children with his disabilities. This support staff also visited the homes to give the parents and guardians that extra support and assistance they needed. She also created, notices with helpful tips for parents to read and understand, she also conducted workshops and one on one meetings with the parents and guardians. The staff worked as a team in rendering support to this member.
