Two things which I have learnt from the this Course

First, it is how to create an inclusive school. I have learnt that school has a vital role in changing the many unhelpful attitudes, unfounded fears and ignorance. As a teacher, I intend to help to create an inclusive institution where I work by modelling inclusive practices in my classroom and by providing students with opportunity to learn from and about each other.

Second, it is how to listen to the children. I have learnt that children are experts on their own experiences but the problem is they are not consulted.so that they can be heard. I, therefore, intend to change my perception on the experiences of children in order to create an inclusive school. I want to develop a habit of consulting the children as regards to their behaviour in classroom. I want also to start keeping comprehensive school records and information about my learners to help the school plan for extra support.
