TWO IMPORTANT FEATURES OF AN INCLUSIVE SCHOOL


1. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT                                               

How accommodative is the physical environment to every learner in the school. the environment needs to have ramps to allow easy mobility for every child, tiolets should be well built to avoid exclusion. Classrooms should be spacious to allow easy movement and no obstruction of any kind to the physically challenged learners. Play grounds should also be accesssible to all learners in the case of lower grade schools.

2. ATTITUDE

Attitude to parents matters, parents are partners in the child's learning and this invites parental participation through regular meetings to plan and monitor their child's participation and program in school. Teacher attitude matters as well, the teachers' attitude should be that of accommodating all learners as all learners can learn.
