Being an Effective Inclusive Teacher

A professional development opportunity that may be needed as a teacher it one which relates knowledge of practice because you can be lectured or read about how to teach a class virtually but when you realistically have to teach a class virtually it is difficult to use the classroom management skills that you would have been taught at university or through the mediums of online professional development courses. In addition, assessing the class virtually is another opportunity that may be needed to explore further because even though we have so many platforms to be used how can the grades or marks assigned to an online assessment be reliable if parents are assisting their child to ensure that the childs' performance is always meeting their perception of the teachers' expectations. Another is being able to know your students and the context in which they working from it they are being provided all the needs in relation to maslow hierarchy of needs. These knowledge can assist a teacher in being effective to ensure that the students social, physical and emotional needs are being catered in the context which they are working so that effective learning can take place in a virtual classroom.
