What needs to be in place to enable teachers to take part in learning study? How could Learning study be used to develop inclusive teachers?
It is important to note that education is always evolving and as educators we should always try to keep ourselves updated with its movement. I believe for teachers to take part in learning study there needs to be the following:
1. It should be whole group collaboration starting from administration.
2. Team work plays a crucial part because teachers should be willing to share their information/understanding about the topic/subject area.
3. Availability of a trained and qualified resource person in the area that the staff is seeking assistance.
4. Teacher’s willingness to change.
With the movement towards inclusion in education, teachers need to also be inclusive and learning study can be used to help develop them. This can be done by:
1. Allowing them the opportunity to share their findings about the learner which would result in better planning.
2. Implementing teaching practice and changing educational interventions necessary to enhance student achievement.
3. Strengthening teachers teaching practice by changing their understanding of lec.
