1. I
believe the benefit to the school and the child with an itinerant teacher would
help children focus on their challenges and assist them to reach their greatest
potential. It will also improve student teacher and parent relationship and allow
teachers the opportunity to come-up with strategies to assist students.
2. Training
offered by the itinerant teacher are supports for the teacher parents and
children with making of resources. Teachers are also ensured constant
observation, guidance and are provided with strategies. Parents are also given
the help that they need socially and all their children with special needs
remain in school because of these special teachers. Itinerant teachers also support
students who have fallen behind in the classes and seek assistances for
students at home.
3. Challenges
that I see these teachers may face are: teacher’s unwillingness to cooperate
with the itinerant teacher because they are set in their ways. They may also be
challenged by parents who are in denial of their children having any problem.
4. I
have not had the opportunity to work with any school working with an outside organization.
