Working with families

Another example of ways in which schools can work with families can be planning events such as a 'Family Day' at school whereby each student will have the opportunity to have their entire family in school. Family members will participate in games and other activities planned by the school teachers and administration. Food and snacks will be provided for the family. It will be a time where children will be engaged in an extra curricular activity along with their family. Games to play with family can be sack race, lime and spoon, relay races, obstacle races, tic-tac-toe, tug of war, and others. It will be a fun day where students will be with their family, teachers and classmates interacting with each other and building friendships.
