Setting personal objectives

To get the best out of the module you will need to consider setting your own personal objectives for the course. Here are some things to think about to get you started:

  • what you now know about the course,
  • your current role within the MDT,
  • your continuous professional development needs

When setting your personal learning objectives consider what you want to achieve. Make your objectives SMART and make sure that they motivate you! Choose a limited number of goals related to your own learning needs and ambition. They could include anything from ‘I will know the name and contact details of members of the MDT in my area’ to ‘I will be able to design a new communication process for my MDT’.

Click here for more information about setting SMART objectives.

It will be useful to record the objectives you set, you might do so on this template. (Word 2007 document12.0 KB)

You can save the completed template to your own computer.

Now you are ready to start week one of the course.
