UN Rights of the Child Transcription

The United Nations convention on the right of the child is a set of standards that applies to all children and young people everywhere, all the time. The rights are highlighted on this graphic. There are 54 in total going across these 2 slides. SKIP is committed to ensuring we meet the rights of the child. We already do this across many of our branches interventions e.g. health education and working with children with disabilities. We also strive to ensure children are protected from abuse and violence through our safeguarding processes. It is important that our own behaviour meets the standard of the rights of the child e.g. the right to privacy. This is why we do not allow photos of children on social media without consent and why we do not allow any pictures at all of children on personal social media pages under any circumstances.
