6 Conclusion

You’ve come to the end of the course – well done. The course explored the experiences of parents/carers when their child is in hospital, as well as the views of nurses on how they interact with parents/carers and manage children’s pain. Both parents/carers and nurses have provided insight into some of the challenges of managing children’s pain, but have also made suggestions as to how to improve the communication between each other to improve the management of children’s pain in hospital.
