This week we will consider whether Dave should or even can trust the forensic evidence as it is collected and presented at the crime scene and used by the police and crime scene investigators.

At the end of the week, you should be able to:

• better understand when to trust forensic science evidence at the crime scene
• understand how forensic science evidence is used
• examine what the meaning of quality standards in forensic science laboratories
• differentiate between trusting the police investigator, the science and the scientist.
