Welcome to Understanding Parkinson's for health and social care staff.
This course was produced by the Parkinson's Excellence Network.
As a health or social care professional you may provide care for people with Parkinson's. This may be in hospital, full-time residential care, in the community or in short-term respite care. It is likely that you will mostly come into contact with people with Parkinson's who are at the complex phase and this will be the focus of this course.
This programme has been endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing until January 2023. Endorsement applies only to the educational content of the programme and does not apply to any product.
This course was shortlisted for the 2017 Scottish Charity Awards in the Demonstrating Digital and People's Choice categories.
You will work online in this course at a pace that suits you. It also gives you an opportunity to connect with your peers and you can use it as a framework to support group work with colleagues.
