How it might feel

Fear and anxiety: The knowledge that MND is a degenerative disease with no cure can provoke feelings of fear and anxiety about the future. Individuals may worry about how their symptoms will progress over time and how their quality of life will be impacted.

Sadness and grief: Receiving a diagnosis of MND can also trigger feelings of sadness and grief as individuals come to terms with the loss of their previous health and the limitations that the disease may impose on their life and future plans.

Anger and frustration: It is not uncommon for individuals diagnosed with MND to experience feelings of anger and frustration, both towards the disease itself and the challenges it presents, as well as towards the unfairness of their situation.
