how might my client has felt

My client may have felt shocked and frightened on hearing the diagnosis of MND. At first, there could have been disbelief — a sense that this couldn’t be happening. They might feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of what lies ahead, with many questions but few immediate answers. Fear about losing mobility, speech, or independence could weigh heavily, alongside sadness about changes to daily life and hobbies. They may worry about being a burden to family, or about how loved ones will cope emotionally and practically. Concerns about pain, discomfort, and the availability of care and support may also arise. Above all, there may be a deep sense of loss for the future they had imagined, replaced with the challenge of adapting to a life now shaped by MND.
