Clinical trials

My experience in pre-registration is based on the registration of the clinical trials in which I participate in clinicaltrials.gov You specify in this website the protocol of the trial and obtain a permanent identifier to be used in future publications of the project. We also usually publish the protocols of the clinical trials prior to the collection and analysis of data.

I have heard that registering protocols is the norm in clinical trials. Thanks for the link. Do you find it a helpful process?
