Challenges and Benefits of sharing data

I think as an overaching principle, we should work towards a sharing culture, but having clear regulations. It´s true that we create a large range of information and if I think when I did research related to pollinators, I was collecting data that related flora with insects. In that case, all other similar researches would have benefit me, but depending on the field, it would be more or less complex to share data. In the case of sensible data, it is not straightforward.  Considering the human factor, the ethics and competition in sciences, we should do our best to create robust standards, protocols and rules, as well as promoting the new culture of open science. Yes, it´s a sea change.
