Open Science Plans

My personal open science plans

This is what I came up with when thinking about my next steps in Open Science.

Things I am particularly curious about:

Research Data Management Plan (~ 1 - 3 months)
I want to develop a data management system for my molecular-dynamics simulation data including meaningful metadata and provenance to store my data in a way ensuring comprehensibility and thus facilitated reuse for myself, and if of interest, for other researchers.

Preregistration (~ 6 - 12 months)
Although it will probably be a simulation study more on the method-development side, I want to preregister my next project and publish my work in an open-access journal.

Science Communication / Outreach (ongoing)
I will continue to participate in outreach and science communication activities at my institute. I want to think about new event formats to maybe initiate something on my own and try to inspire others.

Additionally, I want to tell my colleagues about the great opportunities of open science to break down initial barriers and discuss their potential concerns.
