simple animation

what software (free) for doing a simple animation/transition? looking at a transitional from left to right using photos and sketches. My idea for Solidworks was a bust, so thought of something else which is definatly not my comfort zone and is a sort of poster with two views (best way to describe).

This depends on what you're wanting to do, Darren.

If it's just a motion transition for video then most basic video editing software lets you do this (or you could go old school and capture your screen running a presentation).

If it's a web page then there are lots of different ways to do this from coding it using CSS through to something a bit more involved using Java Script, depending on what it is you need to achieve.

If it's like an online album or slideshow, then grabbing the code from a nice slide template might be what you're after.

If it's a presentation then using something as straightforward as Powerpoint, Keynote or even Google Slides might be enough.

Any of those fit?

Darren, I came across a tutorial today showing how to use Photoshop/XD to create an animation. The presenter is British and is very clear. You might want to take a look at his channel. The video I viewed was about creating a parallax. I don't know if it is what you had in mind but worth a look. Others might be interested in some of his other videos too.

which is an image accordion which i should be able to adjust to my needs. best example is like the BBC slider image which i may have a search for.

Hi Nascine, it's proved difficult to get a meeting together this evening but if you have anything specific you would like to discuss let me know and we can arrange something. There will be a meeting on Saturday and I think we will also be able to run one on Tuesday next week,
