Activity 3. Experiences of exclusion and inclusion in education

I have read the two stories with keen interest and the stories have revealed a lot to me.

About Fredrick, I have learnt that lack of knowledge on how you can assist someone with a learning challenge could be disastrous. I have read that Fredrick went home and could not continue with school because at that time knowledge about special education was limited.

I have read the case of Senzo with interest.

In fact, reading the case study has revealed to me the importance of empowering teacher to handle learning challenges the children face.

The teacher because is experienced she was able to come up with all sorts of strategies to help the child.  This teacher introduced strategies like, Individual Support Plan (ISP), pair work instead of group work and most importantly allowed Senzo to work own time and his own pace. I have liked this story.
