MY REFLECTIONS ON THE WAVE MODEL OF INTERVENTIONS.L

The wave model is a good one .The challenges are lack of material and financial support from government to these specialised schools and also lack of data t national and district levels on children with disabilities and this leads to poor planning for these children. Negative attitudes towards these children in communities leads exclusion.

Maxwell - I agree specialist facilities do need proper funding. However, the point of the wave model is to emphasise the fact that inclusive teaching is the responsibility of everyone - not just those with specialist training. Have you seen any good examples of 'wave 1' in action?
