Activity 1.7 Inclusive principles in practice (my thoughts)

The activities have helped me to connect with the barriers and to visualise the possibilities of improving and making those in the school feel included.

Thinking about my previous experiences, how I have ever felt included or excluded has helped me to include myself in the course, giving me the authority to think about my own experience in order to participate as I am or feel in the course.

Reading the responses of my peers in the introduction has made me feel that it is a very diverse space in which I can participate with confidence.

The class has 5 students with disabilities. The teachers tried to get all children involved in the different activities without discrimination. this can be carried by any teacher. However, this demands to train teachers, and sometimes provide with more materials. In the light of this, the education system has to follow up and support schools for a better inclusive teaching.

The activities have helped me realize how sometimes  we are ignorantly  insensitive to learners with challenges rather than help them cope using the wave model.

The class of 75 students with 3 disabled students (blinds) the lecturer tried to carry both the able and the disabled students along. During the examination period, the disabled are taking good care of without being discriminated.

The course activities has make me realise that some of the things that i think do not really matter/taken for granted in education do count in all ramifications. This course have also make me understand that children are faced with different kinds of disabilities not necessarily physical per se. what has make me to feel part of the learning community is idea of posting my thoughts on issues as well as been able to view other learners post as a community.
