Act. 3.2 Observing teaching

The most difficult criteria to define is " Perseverance".

There would have been another better word than this one in terms of classroom jargon. For instance, I was thinking that the teacher may be persevere hard situations like, a lot of paper work, substandard working conditions and low salaries. This is what came in my mind.

Thank you for your observation.

The benefits of perseverance cannot be overemphasized. To ensure inclusive teaching and learning, the teacher must persevere. There might come a time, when it seems you are doing more and seeing less result, your ability to persevere as a teacher would help you to carry on and achieve the desired objective.

Yes Henderson. Perseverance, dedication and persistence are very important if the teacher is to attend to all the learners including those with special needs. He has to put the learner's interests first and give out his all for the learners. In this sense, teaching should be more of a calling and its success should not be measured by immediate monetary returns, but the ability to transform and mold lives of learners.

Activity 3.2 – Observing Teaching

Perseverance is the key to pushing past any form of difficulty and today's teachers are undoubtedly brilliant at it. But what about those who need a little extra focus on it? What can they do to ensure they improve this crucial skill?

1. Know Your End Goal- make sure you devote fully to it

2. Adopt A Growth Mindset - creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.

3. Rid Yourself Of Detractors - people who will try and bring you right down.

4. Set The Pace And Keep The Momentum- make sure you keep going no matter how long it takes.
