Learner-centred teaching

Key-resource 1:

LCE is clearly supported by the key-resource. In ist introduction, the teacher put the focus on the learners who have to understand the purpose of the lesson at it very beginning, the activities they will do and the outcome of the learning. of course, the teacher will start the lesson based on what his students already know about the lesson.

The variety of activities;  the quality of the range of open and closed questions put to the class and the follow-up session that the teacher envision at the end of the lesson can help him to fix some misunderstanding that students may have.

Planning for Inclusive Teaching and Learning.

The writer has underscored the importance of lesson planning. The essence of the message can be summed up in the statement: 'Fail to plan, plan to fail.' Inclusive Teaching and learning will not just happen. It has to be planned systematically from the beginning to the end. What content is planned for the lesson? What are the expected learning outcomes? What methodology will cater for all the learners? What resources are available to facilitate teaching and learning? Which learners need special attention? What are their special needs in this particular lesson? What is required to meet their learning requirements? How can the classroom environment or sitting arrangements be adapted to suit all the4 learners? Is there any need for specialist support during teaching and learning to deliver the best for every learner? Answers to such questions will ensure an effective inclusive teaching and learning that will benefit everyone.
