Activity 3.1

Part 3. Item--1Learners should not always work in silence:

- it is very difficult to notice if there is any learning taking place in such an environment.

-Other learners could be reading or doing something else.

- The teacher should allow learners time to discuss, consult among themselves. For instance, if they are working in small groups or in pairs.

Item 5. Teacher should not always stand at the front:

-Teacher may not see which learners are not participating in the learning process.

-It is advisable to provide learning activities that will engage everyone in class;

-Teacher must move around to individual learners or groups or pairs, giving guidance, answering questions, acknowledging and suggesting ways to solve problems.

A learner should be outspoken

A teacher should always going round the class and stop standing in front of the students

A facilitator should always be considerate

Finally he should all the time know the intellectual capability of his students

Instead of learners workng in silence teacher can make use of group work or working in pairs to solve problems.  Also I would encourage the teachers to give activities to learners in pairs so that they discuss before writing their own answers.

Instead of learners copying form board, they can be given work tp research either individually, in pairs or in groups.  Learners can also be allowed to participate in discussion forums where their discussions could be accessed by peers.
