The Activities have helped me in many ways. Activities provided insight to what inclusive education is. Molly was excluded in the beginning because of her visual impairment. Later she was included and it highlighted that it is possible to include her in the classroom with necessary adaptations. As a result Moly feel valued and included that she is supported. When inclusion happened everyone feels part of the community.
The Wave model great as wave 1 highlighted that all children should be included in the classroom, increased opportunity to learn and participate. Teachers are encouraged to use natural resources as it is cheap and readily available. Wave 2 and 3 introduce support from outside of school and specialists. Sometimes we do not do this because we need a specialist, and when there is no specialist children are prone to be excluded.
I think the activities are great as it directly relate to what is currently happening in schools, and the activities show us how to include these children in the classroom despite the lack of recourses. When children are included in education, they will be included in the community, and they will feel valued.
