Advice to a teacher for active teaching

The teacher who tends to dominate in his class is working against the principle of active teaching and learning. First I will advise him/her to plan every lesson with learners in mind. State learning objectives very clearly. At the same time decide on learner and teacher activities in every lesson. Ask yourself, what proportion of the lesson time will be spent while learners are engaged in some activity and how much by the teacher. How much time will be spent by l3arenrs doing something fruitful? Such questions will help the teacher prepare lessons for maximum learner activity and involvement
