Activity 3.5

A

In the secondary English Lesson, the teacher ensured inclusivity by:

Involving all learners in the learning process

Collaborative learning

Formative checks to ensure all learners were understanding

A student  with disability was included in the learning activity just like other learners.

B

A teacher on teaching practice was not concerned on whether the learner were understanding and focused on covering the lesson content by the end of the lesson. The teacher should use open ended questions to initiate dialogue and do formative checks to ensure all students are participating and understanding.

Hi, Sammy I agree with your post. What I noticed about the video was although the teacher was focused on covering her topic she employed stratigies to ensure all children felt included by brainstorming. giving each child a chance to participate and feel as though their ideas are valued. the teacher clearly has some knowledge of inclusive teaching but perhaps needs support from others.
