1.1 Feeling Excluded

Dear Colleagues,

I think more often than usual, the feeling of exclusion travels with me in the presence of others, basically for two reasons: my own perception of myself and the perception of others perceived from their interaction with me. And this is with regard to persons to whom I am acquainted and those to whom I am not. Although there is no exceptional incident or situation to which I can recall, the sensitivity of others feeling excluded heightens towards children more than towards adults while acknowledging that there is not much of a difference for either group of persons.

However, I felt excluded and rejected when I was told that I am unemployable since I did not have certification in Mathematics or Language Arts, although I had at that time, certifications in other subject areas.
