Education Policy

In my country, Trinidad and Tobago, secondary school teachers are encouraged to pursue a Diploma in Education. This course focuses on learner-centered teaching strategies beneficial to all learners. At the primary level, teachers must complete a bachelor in education which maintains the same objective for those entering the teaching system.

In the recent years, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) course was introduced to all teachers with the aim of improving one's pedagogical strategies to help all learners. I have completed this course and I gained a wealth of knowledge and resources to help students with disabilities especially during this virtual learning.

Education Policies

Hi Patricia, I am Yesenia from the country of Belize. The policies I read from your country caught my attention as they are similar to some of the policies in my country. Now, Primary School Teachers need to upgrade their studies and yes they need to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Primary Education. Teacher in Secondary School also have to upgrade and study in their specific field where they are actually teaching. Special programs are also offered in our country for teachers to enroll and develop knowledge and skills in different areas to be of good help for our children.
