According to the case study "Molly" her teacher was able to assist her and was able to find out what was keeping her from perfoming well.
As I was reading I the case the three waves were used:
Wave 1- The teacher was observing her and find out what was keeping her to perform.
Wave 2-The teacher then had a meeting with the teachers and came to the conclusion she had to be at home. However, he still helped her.
Wave 3- Specialist got her Magnifyiing glasses and Molly was so happy and was able to do her work.
All in all, that I can say that I have been reading and learniing alot. My eagerness to learn more about how to help students who need to be included in our school. Sometimes, we teachers get frustrated and worried trying all our best to help each and every student in our class.
I need to be more observant and find ways to help my students as Senzo teacher find out ideas to help him.
I had experiences where I use to feel excluded especially at high school because of being shy and afraid of failing and having no friends. I know how children feel when they are excluded I have seen children in my class it is so sad . I have seen children not wanting to work in groups because the child cannot perform well I usualy have that child to alteast draw or color for the group.
It is indeed that we should find help from our teachers, parents and our Special needs Coordinators. We Try all our best. Sad to say but in reality my country needs more special needs teachers and counsellors to help our children. There are so many studnets in our school who really need help unfortunately we cannot diagnos students we just observe and try to find ideas to help them.
