5.3. Inclusive teaching in action

Dear Colleagues,

The key strategies for inclusive practice identified in the article & video presentations were:

Having the mind set that Good inclusive teaching is an extent of good teaching practices

Identifying students’ strengths and weakness and adapt and implement strategies to meet the needs of the students

Making use of differentiated learning tasks

Adaptation of seating plans

Nurturing peer support

Developing an appropriate array of communication skills and resources

Having a flexible approach to assessment
