Implementing LCE

In the official documents, it is clearly said that 'the learner is at the core of the learning process'

In the 2002 Education Act, and in the different curricula of the different subjects, the teacher is seen as "a professional creative facilitator". The learners are no longer seen as 'blank slates' or 'empty buckets'.

In the classroom practice, a shift in paradigms is needed: we have to move from the a paradigm focusing on the teacher to a paradigm where the learner is truly at the core of the learning process.

This requires training, patience, time and conviction.
