I totally agree with the wave model, all children should be included and afforded an education within the mainstream school system. Children who have been identified with a disability or a special need should be given the appropriate intervention and support by professionals and stakeholders. Where a severe need or disability is identified, highly trained specialist should intervene and lend the appropriate support. Had the wave model been introduced when I was younger (my experience in activity 1.4) I would have had the opportunity to feel excluded.
