Parents need to be educated that there are children with different types of disabilities but they can still fit into and function as normal individuals in society once they are given the proper guidance and the opportunity to do so.

This is true alot of understanding has to occur, support has to be given to both parents and students.  One more reason why parental involvement is important to the sucess of the child.

I agree to your statement, and also like to add that parents should also be given some sort of support system to help them through the emotional aspect of it.
