Inclusive principles in practice

The activities have helped me to understand the new ideas by allowing me to really reflect on my own feelings and experiences with being excluded and included. Some of the things especially in the first wave I found I was doing already in my classroom for some years now. Perhaps this is because I was able to understand my students hurt by not being included.

The activities have helped me to feel included by allowing me to understand that everyone feels excluded at some point in their lives and by being asked to posting my thoughts and ideas in the activities  has shown that my thoughts are valued.

What has helped me to feel a part of the learning community is knowing that I am learning with a group of educators who wants the best for all their students. I see that they are engaged in the activities and answering questions because they are eager to learn about inclusive teaching just like I am.
