Attitudes to Learners

As a teacher myself, I believe parents need to be educated more on different types of disabilities and how they can identify some simple attributes. they would also need some sort of intervention and support system to help them with the emotional aspect of dealing with a child with special needs.

In the classroom, allowing children to make mistakes and learning from their mistakes, is okay. The focus of drilling a child to be academically prefect, came become very stressful for some. Allowing children the opportunities to figure out their mistakes and giving time to resolve the mistake will help to build individual respect for each other. With teachers positive attitudes and encouragement, I believe, they would gain more confidence in themselves as learners.
