I'm a teacher from Nigeria, I once observed a primary school teacher teaching creative and crafts. In her class she has two pupils with short sightedness.

The lesson was teacher centered because she the only one talking, the pupils all kept quiet to avoid been punished. While the lesson was going on, those pupils with short sightedness where trying to strain there eyes in order to see the drawing on the board.

The teacher should have used locally made materials to aid her in teaching and she should have allowed the pupils to contributes their own opinions.
