3.2 Observing teaching

Which one is the most difficult to define?

I think Perseverance is the most difficult to define because as teachers we must always think in the positive. So in order to capture a student that may be lacking interest in a topic or subject, we have to be able to motivate and encourage that child. So that they can overcome whatever challenge they may have been facing.

I totally agree with you  I think Perseverance too because we need to keep on motivating our students. As teachers we also need motivation and never give up on our students. We need to find strategies and other techniques to help each and every one of ours students. If we teachers are positive we will send that energy to our students. So, let us make a start or  keep that perseverance. Let us  show our students that if we set our minds we can overcome challenges. Never give up on them. We can do all our best.

I agree, because when you are doing something over and over and you feel you are not reaching the child, it is easy to throw in the towel and who losses in the end, so let lead by example, we want children not to give up, we should do likewise.

Renata, both you and Esmirna make excellent suggestions to teachers to be positive, motivate and model perseverance to our students. When we encourage children and praise their efforts, they feel empowered to do more. It is about that intrinsic motivation that will help them to want to keep trying and believe in themselves. Also by adopting a growth mindset in our classrooms, we help children to learn to overcome their challenges, not be afraid to make mistakes and understand that they can achieve their goals with a positive outlook.
