The wave model appears to be a very efficient and workable it can be consider as an inclusive practice at three different level (wave 1,2,&3). The first wave model caters for students with and without disabilities and it involves students working in groups and using lots of resources. Most of the interactions involves teacher student. Looking at wave two focus is place on the ethos of the school, the involvement of students in extracurricular activities. It also encourages parent involvement.
It should also be noted that there are good inclusive practice by guaranteeing that all teachers are trained in SEND and are teaching with grounded principles. The waves also addresses students who may need special or individual attention. This is where specialist are brought in to work with them. This type of working relationship also assists with the student’s transition from one school to another.
