Activity 3.1 what does active teaching look like?


What advice would you give to a teacher who persistently uses the following approaches for long period of time?

1.       Teachers always stands at the front.

My advice: This can be very intimidating or distracting to some student. Circulating the classroom gives students a sense of involvement in activity

 

2.       Teachers always ask close questions with a yes no right or wrong answer.

My advice: these type of questions reduces the student’s level of critical thinking open ended questions will extends students level of thinking.

It also prevents them the opportunity for any level of discussion
