Personally, I embrace all three narratives.   The ECCE curriculum in my country which is used by Government Centres try as best as possible to reflect some aspect of these three narratives. This curriculum puts the interest of the learners first and we plan the activities with the learner’s prior knowledge an interest in mind. The curriculum is flexible, and the teachers serve as a facilitator most of time and lend their support and guidance, giving the learners the freedom to explore, investigate and collaborate. The steam component in the activities lends to critical thinking skills as the children develop 21st century skills and attitudes and children can work in group or on their own. Children are encouraged to make choices and the activities are always meaningful and interesting because they are always actively involved in their learning.
