Teachers’ attitude could be a challenge for embracing the
LCE in my country. Some teachers are stuck in their ways, and are not willing
to change, some will not embrace change easily especially when they are convinced
that their method is working because the children are passing the test/exam which is the focus,
not seeing the struggles the learners must endure to get to that point.
I say, only with training and proper supervision can we get
all teachers on board, not so much ECCE, because some these teachers especially
those in the Government run have implemented this policy in their teaching and learning
in some way or the other, I am really talking about the private ECCE Centres.
