This course inspired me to work harder to
motivate my teachers to become inclusive teachers and when challenges come their
way in respect to teaching and learning don't complain and give up but collaborate
with their peers, to come up with new strategies to help. I want them to know
that they are not alone, so don't try to do it alone, just as children learn from
their peers, teachers can do the same.
I will encourage my staff to become reflective teachers because
when they can do that, then they are on their way to becoming inclusive
teachers, I will give each teacher questions they can ask themselves when
reflecting on their teaching, such as did the learners meet the learning
outcomes for the activity? How do I know? which activities worked well? Why, which
activities did not work as well as I planned? Why? What can I do to improve
this next time, did I have all the materials I needed? What else would have
been useful? And which learners worked/participated well in the activity? Why? to
state a few.
I will also show them
those two videos of the teacher with the ninety children and the one teaching English
to show them that they do not need a degree in special education to make a
change but just simple ideas.
Finally, I will encourage all teachers to take these
courses.
