I have learnt that OERs are free teaching and learning resources meant to help learners and teachers mostly in poor areas such as Africa who have very little resources to purchase conventional textbooks. It is however, sad that the use of these free resources is very low. This may due to the fact that people are not aware o9n their availability or cannot access them due to lack of internet connectivity. I would recommend that more publicity be carried out so that more and more people particularly school authorities become aware of their availability, down load and use them and then tell the story about their utility.

I have also learnt that I can contribute to OERs for the benefit of others by sharing my knowledge and expertise at no cost.
