Learning methodology

The teaching methodology features a comprehensive framework that includes training in both technical competences and soft skills. This ensures that individuals not only gain access to a job but are also able to retain it over time or quickly find another one.

Soft skills training

Soft skills are personal and interpersonal skills, close to personality traits. They are essential in professional life and complement specialised skills and knowledge. Unlike hard skills, which are specific to one or more occupations, soft skills can be used in several professional and personal contexts (EPALE, 2021).

Therefore, it is important to develop and enhance these competencies throughout life, through training, practice, and self-awareness. The goal is to foster the competency development of unemployed individuals by helping them identify their strengths and weaknesses in the face of employment challenges and enhancing the work performance of professionals.

Hard skills training

Hard skills are specific technical skills and knowledge required for one or more occupations. These skills are specialized and necessary to get and perform a job. Hard skills can be taught and learned through education, training, or practical experience (EPALE, 2021).

Training and continuous learning are concepts related to the development of professional and personal competencies throughout life. Training allows us to refresh and update our knowledge, skills, and abilities, helping us better adapt to the demands of the labour market. Therefore, it is necessary to offer, based on individual needs and the surrounding labour market demand, technical training that improves employability levels and their job performance.
