This course has been developed by the research group Energy in Transition of The Hague University of Applied Sciences. It aims to help you understand the complexity of integrating renewable energy into the energy system.
The course consists of 8 lessons. The first lesson covers the basic concepts related to energy and power. Lesson 2 provides an overview of the uses of energy and the challenges we are facing in the energy transition. Lesson 3 provides an overview of the most common energy transfer and conversion systems. Lesson 4, modules A, B, C and D, offers a deeper insight into the characteristics of different transfer and conversion systems. Finally, Lesson 5 offers an analysis of the obstacles and possible solutions for the integration of a higher degree of renewable energy in the energy system, approaching the system transition from a broad perspective.
