New to the course

I am following the course to find out more about the Associate Tutor role and to assess if I would be a suitable candidate

Activity 1  I was quite surprised that 34% of new students are under 25.

My views about the OU have not really changed.  I already had a broard idea of its function.

Section 2     Activity 1

It is far more difficult to pick upbody language ques with on-line lessons as opposed to face to face tuition. So you rely far more on verbal cues.

Further  you can't see how the whole group interacts as they are at separate locations.

Activity 4

Discuss study skills and find out how the students approach the work.

Revisit the TMA with additional feedback

Hi David,

Great to see your posts.

Would be good if you could post in the threads already set up for an activity as makes them easier to follow.

Thanks

Hi Jenny

This is what I wanted to do but I don't know how.  The amount of literature is somewhat overwhelming, could you point me in the right direction please? DFH

Hi David,

I can see how it could be a little overwhelming, hopefully the notes below will help.

The posts titled 'Section .. Activity ..´ that have have a 'star' post and say something like 'This thread is for section 6, activity 6' in the post are the threads to look out for. They are also likely to be the threads with lots of posts. For example, this is a thread for an activity 6 in part 6 - https://www.open.edu/openlearncreate/mod/forumng/discuss.php?d=2499

Let me know if still not sure which ones to use for the activities.

Thanks, Jenny
