A tutor has to understand and be aware that every learner is individual, with differnt needs, motivations and backgrounds. 

  • Individualising the learning experience and making it personal

It is important to treat every learner as an individual and provide a 'custom' made learning experience for them.  A tutor must get to know their learners. Only then can you relaise how they learn, what motivates them, what makes them push toward stheir learning goals

  • Evaluating strengths and weaknesses in students
By getting to know the learner it will help understand their strengths and weakness. Not every teaching method works for every learner.
