Publishing and Open Access

The most challenging part of publishing in open access is the article processing charges. Investigators need to publish to have grants and they need grants to pay to publish. So, if a research group that does not have much money and they are not able to publish, they will not be competitive to win new grants, even though they have an excellent work.
