This is where you can ask questions of your moderators. These can be queries about how the MOOC works or the content and activities you are working on. Or you can ask general Open Science questions about what you are learning.

Progress box remains unticked

Hello Emma,

Thanks for developing and moderating this course with your colleagues.

Quick question: my progress for week 1 remains at 7/8, with the forum taks remaining unticked. However, I did post in the forum (financial aid post). Is there something else I should do?

Progress box unticked

Dear Sabine,

I am also experiencing a similar problem. Despite having completed both lessons and all assignments, my progress says 5/8 and 3 boxes next to the assignments are unticked. Please could you advise how to fix this?

Dear Jennifer,

Your activity completions are tracked automatically. The Assignments Overview pages help you to check if you found and completed all of them. You can check the boxes next to them manually.

progress box unticked in overview

Hi Emma,

My progress checkpoint will not become checked next to the glossary part of the overview. I am unsure of what I need to do to get this to happen?

thanks for reporting the bug. I looked into it and hopefully fixed it. Let me know if it's checked or still remains unchecked even though you completed the assignment.

Hi Emma

I have just completed the course, really enjoyable and informative! I was just wondering where we can get the certificate of participation? As currently, if I go on to my profile, it doesn't say anywhere on my achievements that I have completed the course, or where I can find the certificate.

Dear Lucy,

congratulations for completing the course! After you finished all the modules you will get an email informing you that you earned the ORION Open Science Champion badge and also a Certificate of Participation for the MOOC. Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours before you can see these credentials in the achievements section in your user profile, where you can also download the pdf. We are sorry for this delay, but this procedure is automated by the Open University and unfortunately we can't influence it. However, if after 24 hours you still can't download your Certificate please email us at orion@mdc-berlin.de and we look into it again.
